What is Selector Squad?
A private, invite-only fantasy cricket app for friend groups. You build a season-long Squad through a real closed auction, then earn points automatically from real match results.
Is any real money involved?
No, never. Selector Squad uses Credits only, which have no monetary value and can't be bought, sold or withdrawn. It's free to play.
How does the auction work?
It's a closed (sealed-bid) auction. Every Manager submits bids privately, round by round. Nobody can see anyone else's bid until the round closes — the highest bid wins the Player.
What happens if two Managers tie for the top bid?
It goes to a Tie Auction: a fast, sealed rebid between just the tied Managers. Each round is shorter than the last, and if it's still unresolved, it's settled by a toss.
Can I trade Players with another Manager?
No, there are no voluntary trades. Once you win a Player, they're on your Squad for the season. The only exception is replacing a Player who is Ruled Out (injured) — you pick a replacement from the Pool, not from another Manager's Squad.
How is scoring calculated?
Automatically, from real match performances using the Tournament's Scoring Rules, updated after each match.
What do Captain, Vice-Captain and Super Player do?
You pick them before each match, from your eligible Squad Players. Captain scores 2x, Vice-Captain 1.5x, Super Player 3x. Selections lock 15 minutes before the match starts, don't carry over if you forget to set them, and if your Captain doesn't end up playing, the multiplier is simply lost — it doesn't pass to the Vice-Captain.
Can I be in more than one League?
Yes. Each League you join has its own separate Squad, Balance and standings.
Can other Managers see my bids?
No. Bids stay completely private during the auction — balances, open slots and ownership all stay hidden until the full reveal.
Is Selector Squad affiliated with the IPL, BCCI, or any team or player?
No. Selector Squad is independent and unofficial. We don't use official team logos, jersey artwork or player photography. See our Disclaimer for details.
How do I create or join a League?
Any Manager can create a new League for a published Tournament — you set it up, name your Fantasy Team, and automatically become its League Admin with a joining code to share. To join someone else's League instead, just enter the joining code they send you and set up your Fantasy Team. Either way, Leagues are always invite-only — no public matchmaking.
